INDEPENDENCE DAY ANTICS,,,

We had a blast celebrating the 4th of July even if the rain kept us from doing the fun nighttime fireworks. Daddeee and the kids made their own fun.

Daddeee made a sparkler bomb and blew up a toilet seat we had ready to go to the garbage. ***KIDS: DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME***

And this was the end result.



I hope you had a fun and safe Fourth just like we did.

FOGGY...

And I'm not talking about the weather.

I'm referring to inside my head.

It's foggy with a complete chance of storms.

At least, that's how I've felt today.

And that's all I have to say because I'm afraid if I went any further, you'd all think I was nuts.

Ok. Nuttier than normal, anyway.

MUD PIES ARE OUT...

When I went to pick up The Kid from the babysitter today, I found a treat on her front porch.

I wondered what it was but didn't give it a lot of thought.

It was hot out and my mind was in search of the closest air conditioning.

Since the new craze these days is health, the kids made "salads" today instead of the traditional mud pies.

Mud pies are out.

They don't fit in with the new health conscious group of kids.

And I must say, they're much easier to clean up, too.
