mannequin."
"I know.
I like boys."
“You do?”
“Yes. I was just trying to
find a way to tell you.”
This is not word for word how the conversation went but pretty darn close. We were at the mall and we were talking about a mannequin. It's hard to put such a moment into 33 words. I did my best.
He has a date tonight. (My son, not the mannequin hehe)

I wasn't motivated either. It's your post that did the trick! Thanks.

Your son is blessed in the mother he has. And you are blessed in your sn.
I actually pictured that as a mother and daughter. Was it, because that would've been interesting? She thought her daughter was gay, but she wasn't.
If not, that's cool too.
I had been toying with this idea but you made it there first Lumdog & am glad 'cos your personal experience has made this piece shine with its authenticity:-)
Very well written, conveying so much in so little.
What a lovely story. I think you have done some great parenting. Glad to help out and glad to see you back.
A conversation about identity, while looking at something with no personality at all. Brilliantly captured!
