ARE YOU A YANKEE OR A REBEL?

Take the quiz and find out. I'm 52% Dixie but I'm from Missouri and we were neutral way back when.

PRODUCT UPDATE...

We have decided that we need to offer flavored versions of "Dick Dip". Some flavors that are considered are: Dick Ranch Dip, Dick Bean Dip, Dick French Onion Dip. We will, however, NOT be offering Dick Cheese Dip.

PICK TO LICK A SLICK DICK, USE OUR NEW FLAVORED DICK DIPS!

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT...

Last night Hubster and I were discussing personal lubricant, aka KY. We had received a sample a while back that he really liked but neither of us could remember what the brand was. This prompted Hubster to ponder his own invention:

INTRODUCING "DICK DIP". BEFORE YOU DIP YOUR DICK, DIP YOUR DICK IN DICK DIP!

Instead of your hands touching the lubricant to use, with Dick Dip, you just dip your dick in the jar and Voila! you're lubed! Inside the jar is a soft sponge moistened with personal lubricant. No more sticky fingers!

I know, you'd think we were stoned or something to come up with this one.

IN MEMORY...

One of my dad's sisters called me today. Dad's aunt passed away on Saturday. She was 90. I haven't seen her in years but have always kept tabs on her through my aunt. My sister was always her favorite. I don't know when the funeral will be yet but I will probably go. Dad's other sister will be here today from Illinois. I'm looking forward to seeing her. Dad's aunts haven't seen Little Brother yet. I want to go today to Burlington Coat Factory and get him a new outfit. They have the cutest, inexpensive baby clothes.

We went to dinner last night at Ameristar. Hubster got a comp for perfect attendance. Big Brother wanted to go to Kid's Quest so we dropped him off there and then took Little Brother with us to the Falcon Diner. We had a nice meal. Our waitress sucked though. The assistant manager made up for her lack of attention which was nice. I should have given him the tip instead of her.

Kid's Quest is a really neat place. We signed him in and were given a sticker with a bar code on it. Only we could get him out. They had the big climbing tubes, video games, a "cage" where the kids could play ball, a karaoke stage, and a small diner so he could eat. You set a spending limit for your child for food and when you pick them up, you pay for everything. It's normally $6.75 an hour but we got Hubster's discount. It's a little more expensive than a sitter but it was nice to know he was right there near us and had lots of "sitters" taking care of him.

We came home and watched some more Sopranos. I'm an addict. In the last week, we've watched seasons 1 and 2. Now we're starting season 3. We have season 4 left to go on DVD and are trying to get season 5 now. I love Tony Soprano because he's such a multi-dimensional character.

EASTER WEEKEND (A LITTLE LATE)

We went to Bama & Papa's for Easter weekend. It's the first time we've been to their house in 2 years. It's only a 3 hour drive but it seems difficult to make trips there. It could possibly be that Hubster feels that his dad is critical of him so he doesn't like to visit often (This is a whole other story that I won't go into today).

I didn't take very many pictures so I took some of all 3 of my men on the way home. Little Brother slept almost the whole way home. Big Brother didn't sleep at all. Midway through the trip, I moved to the middle seat in the van to feed Little Brother.

(Look at my Hubster...isn't he looking studly these days? I can't believe we've been together for 13 years now.)

While we were there, we visited Hubster's cousin that had a new baby April 10th. She's a doll! She seemed so tiny compared to Little Brother. It's amazing how much a little one can grow in just 3 months.

***This post is a day late because Hubster and I spent all of Monday watching the first season of the Sopranos. I'm an addict now!**

SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!

OK So I know this blog is supposed to be about my life with my sons but this caught my attention and I just had to mention it.

Last night I was on my home from The Bar (I was picking up the Sopranos DVD's from my sister), when I passed by a man on a mower. He had so much hair on his back he looked like a freakin' ape! It was so nasty! It should be illegal for anyone, male or female, to go shirtless with that much hair on their back. I'm sorry but I find it incredibly disgusting. Get some Nads or use a razor or something. Uucky! Or just put your shirt back on, PLEASE?!?!?

MmMmMm NANNERS!

We let Little Brother try bananas last night. It was his first time trying anything other than formula. At first he acted like he didn't like it but then he was ok with it. He isn't quite ready for solids yet since he was having a hard time moving it to the back of his mouth. It just ended up down his chin.

He was all smiles after he was done eating. I just love that face! Look at that chin...he's such a juicy baby!

OH WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY WE HAD!

Dinner was so good! The food was a good as always. We had a table by the fireplace so the atmosphere was so nice.

The kids were good at mom's house. I'm so glad so it will be easier to leave them with her again. I won't feel bad about having a fussy baby.

We made a quick trip up to Kearney to visit my oldest sister and her family. It was a nice drive and time off from being a parent.

It's after 10 and the kids are all tucked into bed. I'm going to get off the computer and be a sexy mama for a while. We don't get time for that as often anymore. I have to take advantage of the opportunity :)

DATE NIGHT....WOOOHOOO!!!

Tonight Hubster is taking me out to dinner at the Great Plains Steakhouse at Ameristar. It's our favorite restaurant but we don't get to go there very often because it is so expensive. We're taking the kids to my mom's house (she needs to spend time with them more). I haven't eaten all day so I can have plenty of room for my steak and all the trimmings. I can't wait!

Yesterday was Ruizster's birthday. I made her enchiladas for dinner and we had a really good time just sitting around chatting. I was hoping it would be nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the patio but unfortunately, Missouri weather was uncooperative. It got down to freezing so we'll have to put off patio nights for a little longer.

GOING OUT...

My oldest sister is coming into town (she lives 30 miles out) to go to a local bar for drinks. It's a friend's birthday so we're meeting for drinks. I don't care to go out without Hubster but tonight we don't have a choice (no sitter). I won't stay long, maybe just a drink or 2.

Little Brother has still been cranky from the shots so I'm in need of some time away. He was all smiles for his daddy last night, though.

Just an afterthought...I don't think I'll have a margarita tonight...not in the mood for heartburn.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY

Ranger turned 2 last week. I can't believe my little puppy is already a grown dog. He still acts like the baby though. Whenever Little Brother isn't on my lap, Ranger thinks he should be.
Little Brother went for 4 immunizations Tuesday afternoon. He ran a fever all day Wednesday and was just a tad big cranky. I finally got him to settle down on my lap and take a nap. He looked so cute. Poor baby didn't feel good. Today he's not running a fever but has just been cranky. Can't wait for this to wear off. Although I am enjoying the cuddle time.

OH THE HEARTBURN!!

We had friends over for dinner on Saturday and Hubster mixed up a double batch of Dirty Margaritas. I drank one before dinner then one with dinner. We had burgers on the grill (fabulous!) with all the fixin's. I don't know if it was the first margarita on an empty stomach or the red onion on the burger. I thought I was going to die! My chest was burning SO bad! The back of my neck was sweating and I was burning up all over. Hubster went and got me some Tums, I took 2. I tried going outside to cool off but that didn't help. I tried lying down in our bed (I know, rude since I had guests but at this point I didn't care). I joined our guests at the table again and took 2 more Tums. Finally, after about 30 minutes, the heartburn began to fade. Whew! What a feeling! I felt So much better. Damn those wonderful Dirty Margaritas! Think I'll make some more this weekend.

SUNDAY AGAIN...WOOOHOOOO!

Big Brother spent the night at my sister's house last night so Hubster, Little Brother, and I snuck out this afternoon and went to have ice cream. Cold Stone Creamery is the absolute heavenliest ice cream in the world! We were going to let Little Brother have his first taste of it but he fell asleep and wouldn't wake up. He missed out.

I'm watching my usual Grey's Anatomy. I'm still lovin' that Patrick Dempsey but the character of George is really beginning to be cuter. He has such an awesome personality.

I let Big Brother sit on my lap in the van tonight and drive up our street. He was so thrilled. He attempted to park but got a little crooked. Not bad for his first time.

STROLLING ALONG SHERWOOD

It was too beautiful today to stay indoors. So I took the kids (T-N-T spent the night last night) to McD's for lunch then to Sherwood Lake to go for a walk (had to walk off the fattening food). T #1 and Big Brother walked on ahead of us and parked it on the swing to wait for us.

Little Brother loves his stroller. He napped most of the way through our walk.

Nature was at it's best today. The birds were singing, the squirrels were playing in the grass and the geese were out. They are so tame. This one was showing off for us.
