TRIFEXTRA: WK 30

She fished the telephone from her pocket but missed the call.  She cussed and fumbled with the buttons as she attempted to dial the number back but once again got his voice mail.

My entry into this weekend's Trifextra challenge to use an animal as a verb.  Click on the link above and read some more entries.  Better yet, write your own and link up.

Nice prompt! I had to read it twice to find the animal. I am slow on the uptake at times. :-)

Non-reachable numbers can irritate like that. you clinched the feelings perfectly.

I hate when I call somebody right back and then there's no answer. Also, must be a pain to have to fish for the phone in your purses. Nice take on the prompt.

Fished! Loved it. I made a list before I started writing. I completely missed fish. Good "catch"

Good one! I can relate - I often miss calls because I can't get the right buttons pushed on the phone in time.

That was so brilliant I had to read it over a second time to find the animal like a 'Where's Waldo' excursion!

Perfectly done! Flowed so well, I had to double back to find "fished".

A great opening to a story. You left so much to the imagination. "Fished" was a good choice.
